La Blue Girl

Synopsis:
Miko Mido is the descendant of the most powerful clan of female ninjas.
After her grandmother dies, she is left with the heavy task of keeping the
clan's status in check, while at the same time keeping the Shikima away from
humans. The Shikima are horny demons who feed on the lust and desires of humans.
Miko has to engage in sexual duels not only with the Shikima, but with the rival
ninja clans as well. Sex battles where the one who "comes" first loses, and the
last one to "come" wins. On top of all this, Miko is still struggling through
high school... but why is Miko so closely bound to the Shikima?
Review:
Amidst all the sexual encounters every five minutes or so, La Blue Girl has
a definite plot. Since majority of screening time is devoted to the sex duels,
there's a lot of kinky and hardcore things going on. This is definitely not for
the faint of heart. There are monster rapes, robotic tentacles, a bit of
torture, hermaphrodites, and some bloody stuff. Everything is also shown in
explicit detail. Yet LBG is quite humorous, and the treatment of the situations
are never too serious. It has its share of funny moments (like the fact that
Miko always forgets to wear her panties to school). The pacing is also good
enough to keep you watching.
I found the main idea of ninjas using "sexcraft" to best each other in battle
very unique. The techniques are totally something else, you see a lot of
unconventional um, sex tools and concepts. I've only seen the subtitled version,
and I really can't imagine what it'd be like dubbed in English. Widely
considered as classic hentai fare, this is a worthwhile investment for fans of
the genre. I found tentacles over-used throughout LBG though, and it got stale
for me pretty fast. I probably would have given this a higher rating if the art
had been better and the sex scenes less redundant. So many people rave about
this title, but truth is, it's not as phenomenal as the hype claims.

What is with that huge, dopey-looking ribbon on Miko's hair?
